I ordered a new dining table for Christmas Day on 21st November, and their website said the item was "in stock" and would be delivered within 5-10 working days. I waited the 10 working days, but hadn't heard anything. I contacted Garden Street by e-mail who advised the item was actually out of stock. They told me it would be back in stock on 12th December, but could take an additional 10 working days, so no guarantee for a Christmas delivery. It's now 6th December and for me to get the right size table by Christmas is going to cost me far more than I'd originally intended to spend. Garden Street have refunded my original payment but have refused any compensation. To top it all off, as of today, they're still advertising the table as "in stock" and available within 10 working days so I presume other customers are also being shafted by this company and their poor attitude.
I attempted to purchase a carport from Garden Street. I visited their Crewe office where I was advised to put the order through them rather than order online. I placed the order for 2600, the money was taken from my account, I received a mail confirmation but later that day I received a further notification that my order had been cancelled due to "additional security checks". However they still have not returned my payment. When I called the Crewe office they could not tell me which checks I had failed and they continue to earn interest on my payment. Outrageous.
Read the reviews - good when it works but terrible when it doesn't. Retched delivery process in which firm and courier blamed each other for the chaos followed by a damaged product for which the recompense was inadequate - I basically got left with the problem.
Bought a Palmako Kim BBQ lodge and had quick delivery. However, after checking components as instructed it was found 1 major component was damaged and unusable and 2 other pieces missing. After 3 weeks we are still awaiting replacements. Not enough shingles supplied. Not available in this country! Quick to take your money, no customer support. My advice, go elsewhere.
Customer Service was fantastic on the phone and advised me of their local showroom. Showroom staff were incredibly helpful when purchasing a canopy for our house. It looks fantastic now its up! Great stuff!
