Went there a few months ago with some friends. I had the Green Thai curry and asked for it very, very mild. But I think they ignored my request because it blew my head off. When I asked the waiter if he could sort it out, he looked at me with a clueless expression. Had to ask him a couple of times to sort it out.The drinks are really expensive. I had a pint of soda water which would cost anything from free to 1 anywhere else and they tried to charge me 4 for it. I queried it and again received a clueless expression from the waiter. Eventually they knocked most of it off the bill.it's a shame that it's gone downhill, as it used to be an absolutely fantastic restaurant.
Having been disappointed that the pub I'd originally gone in for a drink and meal were overwhelmed by having a single large table order food, I am happy to say that my faith in the restaurant trade was amply restored by the Thai Corner, which I'd not been in for ages. Although I chose the early evening meal, this was a delightfully tasty fish cake starter and red curry. The bonus was the smiling, welcoming staff. I shall return but much sooner.
