I cant find fault in this place at all. We were offered a courtesy meal due to a poor experience at another j.w Lees. What a difference in the 2 venues. Lovely food,lovely service. Even the children's meal were presented to perfection. The staff were accommodating,even before finding out we were there for a courtesy meal. I would highly recommend the food,venue,staff etc. Look forward to visiting again.
Been several times with friendly and helpful staff.A good selection of beers and lagers, matched by some really good and reasonably priced food.Also a fantastic beer garden, which was perfect for dogs as it's fenced and gated, no reason not to stay for a few as that counts as a dog walk surely.
Good value. Very friendly staff who can't do enough for you. In particular the fish in batter is absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone.
It's a lovely pub. I talked to the manager, Joe about a charity gig I wanted to do. He told me that he'd be more than happy to let me use the event room for free. Managed to raise a lot of money for my chosen charity and everybody was so supportive and helped all the advertisement.
Stopped here for a quick coffee before heading home after pur walk.. asked if dogs were allowed was told in the carpet area only which is fine as it was where the fire was. Lovely gentleman came over and brought some water for my dog and also some little sausages. Felt very welcomed and the fire was lit for us. Definitely would recommend this pub to anyone who has a dog and needs somewhere to stop off on the way. Tea was very nice except the hot chocolate was a bit sickly.
