Great staff. Chips are lovely. Need to increase selection & actual availability if desserts.
My work colleagues and I booked our Christmas lunch weeks ago. We arrived at 1pm, we had to leave and pick children up at 3pm. The choices had been given to The Woodside approximately 2 weeks ago. We waited approximately an hour for starters. We had to ask for the main meal and then the desserts. We got our desserts about 2.40pm. We had to rush our tasteless meal. Very disappointed.
I had to wait ten minutes before I was served at the bar for drinks which was so annoying, but the food was great, I really enjoyed my meal & dessert. There was also live entertainment which was too loud, it killed our conversation.
The food was fantastic can't fault it at all although very evident more staff required as they are very busy and people kept waiting to order food/drinks.Great to see a local pub busy though.
Nice atmosphere, good for a walk with your dogs at the woodland opposite. However on both occasions I have visited the coffees have been cold. We don't all drink alcohol and 3 coffees in our group was an expensive mistake. Still a nice pub though.
