I do like pets at home but sometimes the one in Crewe is a bit of a nightmare. We own a couple of Dune Geckos and they rarely have the live food we buy for them even though they have a label for it on the shelf. It is also quite expensive even compared to another local independent pet shop. I do like how they let you take your pets in and sometimes its fun to meet folk and their dogs or cats and I like how the store embraces this. My only other criticism is that there seems to be a lack of staff. I once waited in a line that developed into about 8 people which is quite a lot seeing as though its never that busy. The guy on the till had asked a woman if she wanter to sign up for a loyalty card and the process took ages. Despite many calls for for assistance on another till it took a considerable time for somebody to turn up to deal with the long line of customers. So a bit of a mixed review hence the three stars.
Good selection of pet toys, food, and some medical items. The on-site vet and grooming department are also very good. Would recommend.
Bought 2 rats from here today, the girl helping me had some of her own and we had a chat about how we both care for them, lovely lady I must say! Much better compared to the Lichfield branch where I was completely ignored!She ran over the basics due to store policy but was very helpful and knowledgeable about caring for rats and how to stimulate them with different toys and treats in their cages
