Carvery was great, food was great too. Only reason isn't 5 stars is because of the waitress not having anything to take dessert order on took a long time to order for a table of 8. Otherwise great service.
We really enjoyed our visits to Rookery Wood Farm while on holidays! Over from Ireland & we can really appreciate the good service , awesome menu & GREAT FOOD ! Cheers to this staff for making our family feel welcomed & special. We will be back!
Warm welcome from all the staff. Could be a little more meat,cut very thin. A very good selection of vegetables and a veggie gravy. Cakes were amazing but resisted the temptation. Good value for money. Will definitely be visiting again for the carvery.
The whole place looks fairly dated rather than modern, not sure when it was last furnished. A big group of us went for the breakfast, they ask if you want the regular or supreme but the only difference is the plate size so I got a regular and just stacked it high. You get a mug for free tea and coffee but they're out of thermos things not a machine so it's not really hot, they had juice for the kids out too.No gluten free options so I avoided toast sausages, spaghetti and hash browns. Quite limiting for the breakfast, not sure if main menu has gluten free options.
Went for lunch yesterday and we had 21 people in our party. Could not fault a thing. All meals were great, entertainment for kids brill, service fantastic, value for money, most amazing cakes i have ever seen, loos clean etc. A special mention to Susan the waitress. She was so helpful, friendly, polite and fun. She's a massive asset to the pub/restaurant and deserves recognition.
