Had bought a carrera coast balance bike back in november for xmas. Built it 3 days ago to find had a buckled wheel. Took back and replaced for another which when i got home had a massive scratch on frame. Took that back and they have none left. So bought different bike and now my son hates it because its not the one he liked. So xmas spoiled by people who are not experienced and just not good at customer care. Did not get a sorry or anything of staff.
If I could give 0 stars to this store I would... and then some. First of all they told my colleague that she could not buy a mans bike because she is a woman and then said that she COULD buy a mans bike but she could only have a medium frame, when she requires a large. Then, when another of my colleagues went to collect his bike he was told "you ordered via click and collect" 3x when he hadn't and he repeatedly told her so! When he then told her he would purchase his bike from elsewhere she replied with "Fine, I'm not bothered". As I'm sure you will agree, we find this completely unacceptable. There have been times in the past when I have experienced bad customer service in this branch but nothing so bad as this. I am aware that the customer is not always right but, if you feel you know better, there are better ways to go about it that being downright rude, insulting and disrespectful.
The staff at this stores are absolutely clueless. We are trying to buy bikes from this store on the Cycle to work scheme. So far one member of staff has been told she can't have a mans bike because she is a woman although she has been commuting to work on a man's boardman bike which she bought off them last year. Then they said she could have a mans bike but only in a medium frame size when her bike is a large - what is the point of that forcing someone to buy a bike that is too small for her? They have also taken 2 attempts to service her old bike after trashing the gears. Our other friend had ordered an ex demo bike they said it would be ready for when she got her certificate as she reserved it 2 weeks before hand. Despite many calls they are incapable of getting the bike ready for her to collect and on the day when she should have been collecting it they implied she was stupid and didn't know how it works. We thought if someone told you to collect a bike on a certain day - that was how it worked? Apparently not at Halfords Crewe. Halfords at many stores seem reluctant to sell bikes on the B2W scheme. A colleague trying to buy a bike at the Fenton store was told it was ready for collection to find when he got there it had been sent to the wrong store and they won't move it to the right store or order a different one in and he doesn't drive so he won't be getting a bike at this rate. When told he will go elsewhere the staff member said that's fine I don't care. Great Customer service. Last year we couldn't fault the staff at Halford's they were friendly, helpful and got everything right. I don't know where they found the latest staff but it seems like they need training or replacing. Currently as 3 out of 3 people can't get a bike 1 star is too much.
Amazing service. All staff are extremely happy and helpful .....this shop must have a happy atmosphere and leadership to have such happy and courteous staff. Many thanks
Took my brother in laws mobility frame to have a new brake cable fitted. After Ableworld suggested he buys a new one. 45 minutes later and a cost of 14, as good as new.Excellent service.
