Loved it, had an over night stay while attending a wedding. Fabulous time! Staff treated us so well from start to finish.
Excellent service and dog friendly too. The main hall is beautiful inside and out. We stayed in one of the modern rooms near the health centre. There was plenty of room for us to relax. There was a wedding at the hotel while we were there and you wouldn't have know as there was no noise from the party in our part of the hotel.
I was at this hotel to go to a conference. During the night there was a black tie event which in the setting was totally appropriate.The rooms are a mix of old renovated Jacobean and modern facilities. I started in the modern rooms which were air conned, with shower and bath. The beds were very comfy and the bar which was a corridor away was well priced and cosy to sit in.A lovely seeing but the cost does come with it.
Lovely hall.... Attended for Xmas party. Food average and did not like the fact that we had to move off tables to dance as nowhere to leave bag or drink.
When you go straight to the building it looks impressive. The hotel itself has a charming atmosphere. After my third visit I must say, that I do not like the rooms. The colours are heavy and you not feel comfy. I have a 100% quota of getting a bathroom for people with special needs. There is no shower tray.
